Shongololo Dune Express – Sunday 10th September

Back with Olivier’s bus, but we have swapped Tracey for Sid & Margaret. Although Olivier threatens with more German Museums, we are actually in Etosha national park today, – dik dik, Steenbok, impala, springbok, ostrich, giraffe, gemsbok, zebra, mating lions, a herd of 31 Elephants, hyena etc. We are camping again tonight, and again everything is set up ready for us when we arrive. There is a water hole at the camp, a short walk from the tents, It has a spotlight to allow night viewing, so after dinner we wander up to see what is there – finding first black rhino, then hyena (which does not please the rhino – the hyena wisely moves out of the way when the rhino lumbers towards him.
